Environmental Processes Research Cluster
The Environmental Processes cluster focuses on scientific understanding of earth systems and practical use of this understanding. Specific interests range from detailed studies of the dynamics of fluid and material movement close to the land surface in various areas including drainage basins, coastal areas and high mountains; development and application of theory and methods for fluvial and littoral geomorphological and hydrological processes and their consequences in relation to natural hazards and other public concerns.
Environmental Management and Monitoring Research Cluster
The Environmental Management and Monitoring cluster focuses on scientific information needed to conserve and manage national natural resource and to protect our environment. Specific interests range from detailed survey of the special landscape resources at diverse sites; practical application of research findings to provide the scientific foundation for policies and management strategies related to natural resources in environmental management, with particular emphasis on environmental hazards and environmental protection, landscape conservation and restoration.
