The Department of Geography at National Taiwan University (NTU) seeks to fill a tenure-track or tenured position at all ranks beginning in August 2018. We recruit scholars with the PhD degree in Geography or Spatial Informatics whose research complements strengths in the Department in environmental monitoring, urban and regional development or spatial sciences. Applicants whose research interests in geospatial big data analytics, geo-computation, urban sensing and computing and/or other related fields are preferred. We also encourage applicants who are specialized in these aforementioned subjects with a strong background in computer engineering or statistics. We expect the candidate to contribute to the department tradition of collaborative integration across physical and social sciences, and facilitate to growth of an interdisciplinary and cross-department research network at NTU. Successful candidates will demonstrate a capacity to carry out collaborative research with colleagues in Geography and other departments.
