本人教學與研究興趣橫跨不同的研究領域,包括環境毒理、醫學地理學與環境生態。近期研究在國科會補助下,主要在探討內分泌干擾物質對水生生物的影響;另外也探討都市化對環境生態之影響等相關研究工作。如此多元的研究興趣實乃反映我個人的訓練背景,包括來至地理學的學士學位、動物學的碩士學位,以及環境毒理的博士學位。

1. 持久性有機污染物與環境污染問題

我對於持久性有機污染物的毒性作用十分感興趣,曾進行的研究包括:多氯聯苯對肝臟酵素的誘導與內分泌系統之影響;聚溴聯苯醚對肝臟酵素的誘導與生殖之影響;壬基苯酚對水中生物的毒性作用與全氟辛酸 (銨) 對水中生物的毒性作用;新興污染物的水生生態毒性。

2. 生物監測於環境監測之應用

我對使用生物監測法對台灣環境品質進行監測亦有極大的興趣。一些主要的研究包括:從螃蟹發育之不穩定性監測海岸污染程度;植物的抗氧化酵素誘發對空氣污染的監測;雄性魚卵黃蛋白的誘發作用與內分泌干擾物質暴露等相關研究。

3. 環境生態議題

我對人類活動或人為干擾對生物的生存及分布的影響之相關環境生態議題也相當關切,特別是都市化對不同生物的生存及分布的影響;不同土地利用對生物多樣性的影響等。

4. 人體健康與環境

我對研究人體健康與全球環境變遷也有高度興趣,特別是關於持續性有機物污染對健康的影響。此外,醫學地理學中關於氣候變遷與人體健康、流行性傳染病與新興流行傳染病,以及疾病的地理分布等也都在我的研究範圍之內。
