溫在弘博士於2009年8月起任職於國立台灣大學地理環境資源學系,兼任台大人口與性別研究中心、理學院全球變遷研究中心等研究單位的空間資訊組長。在2006年在台大生物環境系統工程系取得博士學位後,曾任職於中央研究院人文社會科學研究中心博士後研究員(2006-2007)、台灣大學流行病學研究所的專案助理教授(2008-2009)等專任學術職位,亦曾在政大歷史學系擔任兼任助理教授(2008-2009)。研究興趣是在人文社會地理過程的數理建模與空間分析,著重於都市環境人口移動導致的傳染病疫情、連續犯罪等的地理擴散現象。同時,目前亦合聘於台大統計碩士學位學程、人口學程與傳染病學程的學程授課教師。對於地理學術社群的服務工作,擔任「中國地理學會會刊」主編、並參與「人口學刊」與「地理學報」等編輯委員會。在國際學術社群的服務,擔任國際學術研討會的議程籌備委員與國際學術期刊的同儕審查。
