講者簡介:
Dr. Sheng-Feng Shen received his Ph.D. degree in Cornell University (2009). He has used an integrative approach that includes behavioral observations, experimental manipulations, and game theoretical modeling, to study cooperation and conflict behavior of the Taiwan yuhina (Yuhina brunneiceps). The Taiwan yuhina is a joint-nesting passerine species, in which several unrelated females lay eggs in the same nest and group members provide parental care together. In the past ten years, he and his collaborators have successfully employed various techniques, such as transponder-identification systems, digital video recording, GIS system, and genetic analysis, to obtain detailed behavior data from yuhinas in the field.
